For many people, the chance to conquer the highest mountain in Africa is a dream come true - in fact, so many people are up for the challenge that Aid International's first Kilimanjaro trek got booked up well before the deadline.
Which is why we've organised another one for 2011, when a whole new team will have the opportunity to climb the peak to an altitude of more than 19,300 feet.
After flying to Kilimanjaro, via a stop over in Nairobi, Kenya, the ascent starts at Marangu Park Gate on the third day, with approximately four and a half hours of hiking to the first night's stop.
After that, trekking time can vary from five to eight hours per day over five more days, before finishing with an early morning trek to the summit to see the sunrise on day eight.
The descent is covered on days eight and nine, finishing at Marangu Park Gate where a celebratory meal marks the end of the trip, before travelling back to Nairobi and on to London.
This is classed as an extreme trek, and will require a good level of fitness, but with training and determination it's possible for anyone to join. And when you stand at the summit and look out at those views, all the hard work will have been worth it.
